MAKING IT BIG AT GLASSWERKS LOS ANGELES

An impressive 5000 x 2800mm maximum glass lite size has been specified by GLASSWERKS Group owner and President, Randy Steinberg for his modern plant situated in the city of Los Angeles, California.

.
That means lites from as small as 12” x 6” up to a massive 200” x 110” will be automatically seamed, laser logoed, queued and batched and washed before entering the tempering oven, entirely labour free, after leaving the breakout table.

.

At the heart of this process is Ashton Industrial’s SEAMMAXX-PRO ™ high performance seaming/arrissing and batching line, being shipped July 2014.

.

This is the largest SEAMMAXX-PRO ™ ever built, the previous two “Jumbos” for 5 x 2.5m having been installed for System 3 Glass in the UK, and Al Reyami Glass in the United Arab Emirates.
