Designed to provide a buffer for 10 sheets of glass coming from upstream, when downstream operations are not ready to receive. Each glass entering the accumulator conveyor is paused and lifted by one level. This accommodates up to 10 lites already on their way, and a signal prevents further lites being entered in to the line upstream.

As downstream conveyors become free, the stored lites are released (first-in-last-out), and the upstream feed can re-commence.
